Beware!!!!!!
DISHONEST, RUDE, AND INSULTING! I wish I had read the google reviews before I hired The Power Outlet! A tech came to the house to service our generator. He neglected to tell me that the hourly fee starts when the tech leaves the office - so if you hire, you better live close to their office! The tech could not find the electrical box and searched for two hours instead of asking me where it was. He then went back to the office to call the factory and charged us for the time he was on the phone. All he had to do was ask my husband or I where the box was- that simple- in the garage in plain sight! The tech came back out (again charged for the 22 minute drive time there and back) and serviced the machine. Total hours spent on the job- ONE HOUR. Total hours charged- FOUR HOURS. PLUS a $90 service call fee, $14.95 for a filter (WHEN THE TECH EVEN TOLD ME HE DID NOT CHANGE IT BECAUSE IT WAS NEW), $10 ENVIRONMENTAL FEE, AND $5.85 FOR 3 AA BATTERIES). So for a basic yearly tune-up- I WAS CHARGED $499.29. When I called to complain and explain the situation, James told me that I "was what was wrong with this world." He made a comment as to the high price of my home and how I did not want to pay for a basic service. He was insulting and threaten to sue me if I did not pay his tech that was waiting outside. This is a DISHONEST company- BEWARE!

Worst Customer Service I Have EVER Experienced
You guys are going to love this. I took my weed eater up there to have it fixed and they said it should be ready in a week or two. Two weeks later I called and they said it had not even been looked at. I ask if I can just come up and retrieve it and take it somewhere else, and they said they were going to look at it that day. I said cool, about time. I show up to retrieve my weed eater, and (after asking him why it took nearly 3 weeks to fix my weed eater), I kid you not, the owner tells me 'your needs do not matter here'. I told him I was a paying customer, and that my needs DO matter, and he sets my weed eater down (hard) and shoulder bumps me, saying, 'come on big boy'--looking for a fight! I told him he better not touch me again, and he left the store. You have got to be kidding me. NEVER again will I shop here, and I have already contacted the BBB on this guy. Good luck anyone who wants to ignore this advice.

customer service
Called late one evening spoke to a nice guy about a mower part. Guy told me to bring it in to make sure they could match what I needed. Came in the next morning. I was helped by a different guy. I put the part on the counter and told him I called the day before ABOUT the part. I told him I had all the specs about the mower if he needed them. Not letting me finish what I was saying to him, he quickly turned and said he didn't need them and went and got the assembly. The thing was I didn't need a whole new assembly I just needed a small gear that went on it. When I said I called ABOUT a part, he should have asked "what about it? Do you need a new one? Can I test it for you?" But he did not. When I told him that the guy on the phone said that I could just buy the gear he got irritated. When he put the part back and got the part I needed I informed him that the guy on the phone offered to test my assembly when I brought it in. The guy helping me says "NOW IT'S SOMETHING ELSE". He then leaves me to go and help the guy that was behind me. He also tells his co-worker that he can help me since he took my original call. The guy helping me said he "DOESN'T DO CONFRONTATION".
I can't remember the last time I was treated so rudely.
He treated me as if I had ruined his day by showing up to buy something at his store. The thing is this guy should have taken the time to understand my needs. I've been in customer service for 11 years and I know you can't help a customer by not understanding what they want or need. And assuming you know what they need does not cut it !
This place may have the part you need, but next time I'm going to try to find it elsewhere first.

Total Rip Off
Failed to call me back with an estimate for work. Estimate given was off by $500, when the total was supposed to be between $700-800. Poor customer skills, excuses rather than solutions. Wish I had never sent my equipment to them. Warning to you, friends! No stars for this company.

Best in Mooresville.
They diagnosed my tractor issue (difficult) and only sold me the repair I needed and not one I didn't. Honest people with a great knowledge base. They can't fix everything that comes in though. With more and more product being produced under licence in China, these guys find it difficult to replace parts they can't get. Understanding that, I think they're the best in Mooresville!
