Energy Sports & Fitness is by far the best club in Charlotte!! The Staff, Service Equipment Everything is AWESOME !!!

First off, you really need to try out all of their equipment before you sign any agreements. The basketballs are very old, I do not think I have ever found a ball that was not at least a year old. The other equipment is very cheap. I would say right now 20% of their equipment needs repair. Often the weights would stick, the plugin for the headsets do not work. Next, To cancel your membership you have to go in or send a letter and give a 30 notice. Hey, we are in the 21 century why not just an email. Details on the 30 notice. Well that 30 days does not begin until they charge you for the next month. So, if you try to cancel your membership on Feb 14, you will be billed for March and then your membership will not be offically end until April 30, because remember you paid for the last month in advance. I told the manager that I wanted end my membership on March 14, since I was there on February 14 to cancel my membership. She said that was not possible, I would be charged for March and ...

I'm shocked to see the previous review had such a poor experience, but I must say that in my time working out at Energy, it's been great. From the moment I walked in the door, everyone was inviting and helpful. They have very affordable membership options and the sales staff was very down to earth, which made my buying decision very easy! I also have a personal trainer at Energy who is fantastic (and very affordable)! I've lost over 10lbs this month since I began training. If you're looking for a clean, state of the art facility with financially feasible options and great trainers...I would highly recommend Energy.‎

I went to energy fitness because I they sent me a pass to "challenge my current club". It offered a 120 day free pass and no money down with $25 a month... I am a member of PEAK, have been for years and I figured it would be a nice change of pace. Well the "salesperson" who I brought my pass to was ridiculous. I just wanted to try it out like their little pass said. I didnt want to committ to anything, I am still paying for a PEAK fitness membership. I felt like I was talking to an old-school used car salesman. He was rude, talked bad about peak and their sales manager. He even told me PEAK was closing in 2 months. Just when I thought it couldnt get any worse, the sales manager came out of his little office and harassed me even more. I will NEVER join energy fitness, and they really need to fire that Adam guy, or move him to Energy used car sales... PS- the "free" 120 days is NOT free at all. It's a sliding scale membership. Silly. Just silly.‎
